St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute Welcomes Ulrike Berzau

Following an extensive national search, Ulrike Berzau, MM, MHS, PT, FACHE has been named as the new hospital administrator of St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute.
Ulrike (pronounced “ul-rek-a”) has significant experience in providing leadership, strategic direction and operations management for hospitals and ambulatory services throughout the USA, Egypt and Germany. Most recently, she led inpatient rehabilitation services at all Spaulding Rehabilitation Network locations in Boston, Massachusetts.
Prior to Spaulding, she was CEO of Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Under Ulrike's leadership, Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital received the Hospital of Choice Award, the first and only rehabilitation hospital to achieve this recognition.
Ulrike is an active surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and involved in international health care projects. Her specialties include inpatient rehabilitation, ambulatory services, occupational medicine, and quality and service improvements. Ulrike's passion is to create the exceptional experience for all customers in each encounter.
Ulrike holds a Masters in Management, Masters in Health Science and a Major in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She is looking forward to being active and involved in the greater Spokane community.
