Rapid Response Team

St. Luke's has a Rapid Response Team (RRT), a group of highly-trained doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and other clinicians who help when there are signs that a patient in the hospital is developing serious medical problems.

The purpose of the Rapid Response Team is to quickly check the condition of the patient and provide treatment before there is a medical emergency, such as a heart attack. St. Luke's Rapid Response Team has been very successful. Since implementation of the team nearly a decade ago, there has been a significant reduction in the number of patients who have required a full emergency response.
