St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute welcomes survivors of brain injuries and their families to the 2017 Brain Injury Awareness Day, Wednesday, March 29 from 2:30 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m., for an afternoon of complimentary education, resources and refreshments.
St. Luke’s clinical psychologist, Jonathan Anderson, PhD. will provide a presentation for those in attendance. Dr. Anderson, a clinical psychologist on the traumatic brain injury unit at St. Luke's and a professor of psychology at Eastern Washington University, will present on post brain injury and transition back to community and life.
Each year, more than 1.7 million people in the United States will sustain a brain injury; St. Luke’s helps patients throughout the Inland Northwest recover from brain injuries through their innovative inpatient and outpatient services. The day provides education and awareness about brain injuries and offers support for those who have suffered injury and their caregivers.
