St. Luke’s Auxiliary, a well established volunteer program providing a variety of services and assistance at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, has awarded four scholarships. This year’s recipients are Caralee Whitaker, Erin Zimmerman, Shelley Manning and Rodelia Hernandez. Caralee, a senior at Eastern Washington University, would like to be a Speech Language Pathologist. Erin Zimmerman is the Intercollegiate College of Nursing recipient. Shelley Manning and Rodelia Hernandez are both in the nursing program at Spokane Community College working to obtain R.N. degrees. All four award recipients work at St. Luke’s and are all outstanding students in the healthcare field. St. Luke’s Auxiliary has given away $124,000 in scholarships since 1960.
