St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute, the largest free-standing rehabilitation hospital in the region, is being recognized again for excellence in medical rehabilitation programs and services by The Joint Commission and Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) with three-year reaccreditations. Reaccreditations represent the highest level that can be given to an organization and shows substantial conformance to CARF standards.
"These reaccreditations confirm St. Luke's commitment to quality outcomes, safety and patient satisfaction," said Nancy Webster, Chief Operating Officer and hospital administrator for St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute. "We were recognized for our approach to patient care that demonstrates our team's dedication to excellence."
This was the first year St. Luke's submitted its pediatric specialty program for evaluation and received accreditation from CARF. This accreditation advances St. Luke's position as one of the largest providers of inpatient pediatric therapies in the region.
CARF complimented St. Luke's and the services it provides the region. St. Luke's is a "workplace that prides itself in compassionate, individualized and comprehensive care for all. Teamwork and cooperation are evident throughout the fabric of the organization. St. Luke's programs are committed to learning and quality improvement and it's a positive and welcoming environment for patients and their loved ones."
