Chris Greer, pharmacy manager at St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute, was selected as one of the 2015 American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy's Master Preceptor Recognition Program Recipients.
"Chris has great vision. He is a wonderful coach and mentor who is generous with his time and patient with others through the learning process," said Kim Ward, chief nurse executive at St. Luke's. "The WSU pharmacy students and faculty rave about working with him. Chris is a tremendous asset to St. Luke's and the community."
The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Master Preceptor Recognition Program (MPRP) nationally recognizes preceptors who are not full-time employees of a school/college of pharmacy for their sustained commitment to excellence in experiential education and professional practice.
The award was presented at the WSU College of Pharmacy student graduation luncheon and awards ceremony on May 6 at the FOX Theater. Alisha Barr, a student pharmacist who completed an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation with Chris and has been an intern at St. Luke's, was chosen to present this recognition. All of the fourth-year pharmacy students who either had an Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) or APPE rotation with Chris joined him on stage to share in this special moment.
