SPOKANE,WA- St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute is committed to delivering high-quality services to patients and community members.  This was recently validated when Joint Commission and Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International announced that St. Luke’s has been re-accredited for a period of three years for its medical rehabilitation programs and services.  The latest accreditations are the fifth consecutive three-year accreditations that the accrediting organizations have awarded to St. Luke’s.

“CARF and Joint Commission accreditations represent the highest level of recognition that can be awarded to an organization that shows substantial conformance to quality outcomes, safety and patient satisfaction,” says Ulrike Berzau, administrator of St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute and a surveyor for CARF International for other organizations.  “St.  Luke’s demonstrated to the surveyors during on-site visits its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.”

This was the first year that St. Luke’s submitted its stroke rehabilitation specialty program for evaluation and received accreditation from CARF.  This accreditation furthers St. Luke’s position to become the region’s Stroke Rehabilitation Center of Excellence.
